Tu laisses derrière toi, une œuvre à ton image, colossale. Tu as été jusqu’au bout de ta vie et de ton œuvre. Tu as travaillé avec acharnement et une discipline de fer. Tu avais un sens de l’organisation qui ne laissait rien au hasard, ne se fusse le moindre détail. Perfectionniste, tu n’étais jamais satisfait d’une œuvre tant qu’elle n’était pas achevée…ou parfaitement inachevée. Tu as été à travers la soixante de livres que tu as écrit, sur tous les aspects des arts visuels également au fond des choses. Tu cherchais toujours à dépasser les apparences, à comprendre, à faire connaître. L’art pour toi a toujours été vivant, un aspect de la vie qui donne une âme à l’homme. Tu cherchais à décrypter les chemins de l’inspiration et tu voulais toujours remonter à la source, au vivant. Tu as été également un grand ambassadeur de la langue française, que tu aimais et respectais tant. Tu as été souvent en marge des institutions et détestais le conformisme, les idées reçues et les paradigmes. Tu t’es battu pour la liberté d’expression. Tu as donné la parole aux créateurs. Tu as lutté contre la censure. Maintenant que tu nous as quittés, soit certain que Personne ne bâillonnera tes textes ou essaiera d’éteindre ta voix. En réalité je n’ai pas raison d’écrire ce texte au passé. Tu es toujours vivant en mon souvenir, ton sourire et tes yeux moqueurs me parlent toujours, j’entends tes paroles et je t’admire toujours. I wanted to point out an error. One: "allusively fondness" makes no sense, and two: Bonnie Parker did not in fact like cigars. She has been quoted as saying she didn't like them - the photograph that people see with her smok ing was a gag she pulled.
